Course Overview

Web-based multi-media course that gives students a comprehensive look at the history of personal computers, personal computer hardware, assembly and troubleshooting. This course prepares students for industry endorsed certification exams.

This course is self-paced and must be completed within 90 days of the start date. The grade is pass/fail.

Course Objectives

Prerequisites

  • Basic computer literacy
  • Basic networking knowledge

System Requirements

  • Access to a computer connected to the Internet.
  • Windows 95, NT or Mac OS 7.5 or higher.
  • Netscape 3.0 or later, or Internet Explorer 4.0 or later.
  • Minimum 486 or Pentium Processor with minimum 12 MB RAM, or 68040 with minimum 12 MB RAM.
  • Display minimum resolution 800x600 at 256 colors.
  • Sound Card.

At the beginning of the course, you will be assigned to an instructor. Throughout the course, you will be able to request assistance on all course-related issues from your instructor.
