EDT 598 The Math Classroom: math•ed•ology™
Course Overview The course
objective of The Math Classroom: math•ed•ology™ is to
increase the teachers' understanding of effective management in the mathematics
classroom, including such topics as the successful implementation of classroom
activities. Students study on their own schedules using online, web-based
materials.
In this course, videos of classroom lessons delivered via the internet will be used as the basis of instruction. These videos will stimulate reflection about various issues that arise in the mathematics classroom and to construct professional development activities using the video lessons. Although enrolled students may work through the course materials at their own rate, they must set a goal of completion within the semester in which they registered. This is a Pass or Fail course. Instructor Information Throughout the course, enrolled students will be able to request assistance on all course related issues from the assigned instructor (see below). Gary Bitter, PH.D.
